The importance of being able to communicate in a foreign language cannot be underestimated in a globalised world in which international relations, business, and travel are becoming ever more frequent.
The aim of the language courses is to develop an ability to use the language effectively for practical communication. The courses are based on the linked language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing, and these skills are developed as pupils progress through their studies.
Modern Foreign Languages are offered as GCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses.
