Sixth Form at Haileybury presents an exciting opportunity for girls and boys to have significant choice over their pathways.
Pupils have the freedom and flexibility to choose whether they study for A levels or for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB), with a curriculum which can be personalised.
The A level curriculum provides a focused, investigative learning opportunity. By choosing three or four subjects, pupils identify as subject specialists and explore subject areas in detail. Their pathways are complemented with appropriate electives, and balanced with the core curriculum.
Haileybury is ranked Top 10 in The Times league table for co-ed independent schools which offer the IB.
Through balancing subject choices across different disciplines, pupils explore the interdisciplinary aspects of learning and understanding. Their pathways are complemented by the core of Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and Creativity, as well as Activity and Service.
