A Level Results
Once again, our pupils have produced an outstanding set of results.
After excellent IB results earlier in the summer, the A level cohort has also produced a superb set of outcomes with 53% of grades awarded at A*/A and 83% at A*-B. Ten pupils received three (or more) A*grades and a remarkable 43 pupils (over a third of the cohort) achieved three A grades or better.
When the A level and IB grades are combined, our Upper Sixth pupils achieved 59% at A*/A (or equivalent) and 87% at A*-B (or equivalent). These results represent an excellent consolidation of last year’s outcomes, which were our most successful summer ever in a regular exam series.
This year’s results provide our leaving Upper Sixth with an excellent springboard into the next stage of their journeys. We are proud to see so many securing places at some of the most prestigious universities in the UK and worldwide and as they all embark on their exciting new chapters, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes for the future.

Eugene du Toit, Master of Haileybury, commented: “These are excellent results, and we are delighted to see that our pupils’ hard work and determination have been rewarded. We are proud of all they have achieved, and we celebrate their success.
I am immensely grateful to our teachers and pastoral staff for everything they have done to inspire and support our pupils. My thanks also go to the wider team of staff for the role they have played in creating an environment in which our pupils can achieve to the best of their ability.”

I am very proud to have achieved 3 A*s at A level, and super excited to start my degree at Oxford in October. I would like to say a massive thank you to my teachers and everyone at Haileybury for supporting me throughout my time at school – none of this would be possible without them and I am extremely grateful.

I have had an amazing time at Haileybury and feel so lucky to have completed Sixth Form in such a supportive, motivating and fun environment. I am very grateful for all of the help I have received both in lessons and throughout the university application process. I am so pleased with my results and cannot wait to study medicine at Bristol in September!

I really enjoyed my time at Haileybury both inside and outside the classroom. The teaching at Haileybury made the subjects interesting and inspired me to work hard. I am thrilled with my results and looking forward to going to Edinburgh to study International Business.

Looking back on my time at Haileybury, I feel quite proud of my results and university options, which I can confidently credit to all across the school – whether it be my subject teachers enduring my endless questions and cries for help; those that staffed places where I could catch a break from revision: the DT workshop, in music, and playing sport; to Sue and Elaine, the domestics that took care of my Haileybury home (however messy it got…); and the community staff and students that has supported me. As I head to university to read mechanical engineering, I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to study here.
