Yellow and Blue tickets awarded for Spring term

The Yellow Ticket system has been in operation at Haileybury for many years. With the aim of rewarding pupils for really outstanding pieces of work or acknowledging work which represents a genuine improvement on what has gone before, the system makes it possible for all pupils to achieve recognition.

Blue tickets reward pupils who do good things in areas outside the academic life of the school. Their purpose is to "promote and to recognise service to others. This could be help to an individual, service to the school or service to the wider community. They may be awarded for any form of meritorious contribution above and beyond that which would be routinely expected."

This term, the following pupils were awarded Blue Tickets:

  • Hanna Bartholomew – Contributing to Form management. Hosting Kingshott Run.
  • Kathryn Hall – Contributed to Form management. Excellent hospitality of visiting teams. Hosting Kingshott Run. Sending regular informative accounts of LS Girls’ games results to The Master.
  • Thomas Haslam – Consistent hard work for TTU. Hard work and overtime on preparing Theatre for ‘Into the Woods’ (TTU).
  • David Hawkins – Vital work for TTU. Excellent help with pupils in Prep School Science Challenge. Constant positive attitude, good example set, and very helpful on CCF RN Field Weekend.
  • Lauren Hewitt – For helping to keep the laboratory neat and tidy and for taking extra care when handling and storing apparatus. Helping search for missing property on bus after return from a trip. Helpfulness and patience above and beyond the call of duty. Excellent hospitality of visiting teams.
  • Kathryn Killen – Helpfulness and patience above and beyond the call of duty. Excellent hospitality of visiting teams.
  • Sophia Lenton-Brook – Providing help for the play on two Sundays plus striking the set afterwards! On Saturday evening waited on table at the Twilight Bistro.
  • Alexandra Marsh – Excellent reading of the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ during the wreath laying ceremony at Thiepval during Field Weekend trip to the battlefields. 5 hours of CAS activity including three concerts.
  • Sarah Monk – Helping out in class. Contributed to Form management. Hosting Kingshott Run.
  • James Monk – Outstanding direction and preparation for the Presentation to the Lower Sixth on the USA Politics Tour. Very impressive performance in the VII Haileybury Assembly.
  • Philip Paterson – Assistance with tidying up after Junior Jazz Band every week. Tidying up to a high standard. Well done.
  • Lucy Phillips – Constantly she has collaborated with me and Mr Pyle to provide one of her classmates with material she missed during long absence. Lucy is also extremely tidy and accurate with her work. Contributed to Form management.
  • David Pryde – Contributed to Form management. Hosting Kingshott Run.
  • Ellie Richfield – Very competent and dignified role as ‘Madam Speaker’ in the VII Haileybury Assembly. Positive news from the debates ‘Posed pertinent and well-constructed questions .. One of the stars!’. Supported the U16 Field Hockey team. Outstanding performance ‘from the floor’ in the VIII Haileybury Assembly.
  • Edward Rohleder – Helped to move equipment and prepare for a lesson on fitness. Passing on/supplying resources for French project.
  • Andrew Roxan – Helped with wall display. Tray clearing in dining room above and beyond the call of duty.
  • Ben Sheils – Putting out chairs for Lists and very good humour and with purpose – NOT duty House! Being of great help in the rugby team. Going to Harrow for the Junior Colts at very short notice.
  • Gemma Sheils – Voluntarily (and unbidden) tidying up her form room after prep. Helping out with class administration. Providing teacher with board pens.
  • Lauren Smith – Volunteered to clean up Common Room. Cleared up kitchen without prompting.
