Teacher of Computer Science
Permanent; Full time
Commencing: September 2025 or January 2026
Closing date: 21 May 2025 at 12 noon
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and passionate teacher to join Haileybury as a Teacher of Computer Science.
This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire and challenge pupils across all year groups, from Lower School 1 (Year 7) to the Upper Sixth. The role is suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for a supportive and stimulating first post, or an experienced educator seeking a fresh challenge in an academically ambitious and forward-thinking environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science or a related subject and be able to teach up to Sixth Form. Prior experience with GCSE, A Level and/or IB is an advantage but not essential. A commitment to creative, responsive teaching, the use of digital tools, and the ability to inspire, stretch and support pupils of all abilities is essential.
Computer Science is offered as GCSE, A Level, and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, alongside bespoke in-house options. These courses cover all aspects of modern computing, including programming in Python, using web technologies like HTML and JavaScript, app design, and understanding the practical and ethical implications of AI. Pupils also gain a thorough understanding of the hardware systems that underpin these technologies.
Please see the candidate brief for more information.
