Tom through to Rackets final
Congratulations to Middles pupil, Tom Billings (BFr), who has got through to the final of the Under 15 Rackets Competition (Jim Dear Cup) at Queens Club. He will be playing the final tomorrow (Friday) at 11am.
He is the first Haileyburian to reach a final at Queens since 1994.
More good news on the Rackets court is that Sam Billings (BFr) got through to the quarter final of the Foster Cup (for the top 16 players in the country) but unfortunately lost 3-1 to the number two seed.
David Wilson (BFr) also got to the quarter finals of the Renny Cup and once again played the number two seed. David won the first game. Unfortunately, in the second he was struck on the head by a ball and went on to lose that game. Despite being 13-3 up in the final game, he wasn’t able to win the match.
Sam Anthony (BFr) got through to the last 16 in his competition, as did Sam Wilson (BFr).
Well done to all the boys on their achievements.
