The Master's Library Appeal

Help write Haileybury’s next chapter

Established in honour of Martin Collier’s tenure at Haileybury, The Master’s Library Appeal aims to raise funds for our transformative plans for the School’s library.

Our goal has been to provide every pupil with the opportunity to fully realise their academic potential. This vision began with the refurbishment of the Form Room Block in 2019 and continued more recently with the opening of SciTech. Now, the restoration and modernisation of the library represent the culmination of this vision.

Situated centrally on the estate, the Grade II* listed library building houses one of the country’s most extensive school book collections. After nearly four decades of minimal attention, the building urgently requires restoration to preserve its historical significance and upgrade it into a contemporary learning environment for our pupils.

To realise these ambitious plans, we need the support of the Haileybury Community. Every contribution no matter the size is very much appreciated. There are a range of ways you can get involved from our Gala Dinner and auction in May to making a donation or pledge to the Appeal.

The Master’s Appeal Gala Dinner & Auction

Members of the Haileybury community are cordially invited to The Master’s Appeal Gala Dinner and Auction, on Thursday 23 May 2024, from 6.30pm in The Library. The first event of its kind in over a decade, the evening promises to be a memorable occasion.

A champagne reception will be followed by a three-course dinner and live auction hosted by former Sotheby’s auctioneer, Adrian Biddell.

Our Auction prizes encompass a variety of unique offerings, from luxury holidays and exclusive experiences to signed sports memorabilia and sought-after event tickets. More auction prizes will be revealed on social media in advance of the event.

Please note, the ticket price includes a £180 donation towards the Master’s Appeal. By purchasing a ticket, you are not only securing your attendance at a memorable event but also directly contributing to the success of the Appeal. If you would like to purchase a ticket that is not inclusive of a donation, please email Director of Development, Amy Ledingham: development@haileybury.com
