We want our school to continue to be a place where pupils can succeed and pursue their talent, wherever that talent lies. We would not be able to achieve this goal without contributions from our wider family and we are enormously grateful to all our supporters.
Widening Access to Haileybury Fund
We have a passionate wish to support talented pupils or those in significant pastoral need, whose parents could not otherwise afford the fees, to benefit from an education at Haileybury. We offer bursaries because we believe that the academic, sporting and co-curricular opportunities offered at Haileybury can have a transformative impact on a child’s life, and we know that the pupils who receive bursaries thrive within the Haileybury family. The benefits are important to the whole school: diversity within the classroom has a positive impact on all pupils’ learning and development. During the 2020/21 academic year we awarded 44 bursary awards. This year we have increased this to 51 awards and with your support we can continue to provide further bursary provision to children that would benefit and excel with access to a Haileybury education.
Public benefit remains a top priority, and we are particularly proud of our sole academy sponsorship of Haileybury Turnford. Haileybury, through the creation of the Haileybury Academy Trust, takes strategic responsibility for the direction of the school and all aspects of its performance. The aim of the sponsorship is to support rapid and sustained school improvement, which has incorporated support across governance, finance, teaching, co-curricular activities, careers, support staff services and marketing. Each year, Haileybury, supports Haileybury Turnford with £200,000, which demonstrates our commitment as sole sponsor of the School.
It is our goal to build the Widening Access Fund, so that we can not only maintain but grow our widening access work for the benefit of many generations of pupils to come.
