National dance title for Melissa
Lower Sixth pupil Melissa Fenner last weekend won the national Over 16 disco freestyle dance competition, retaining her title from last year when she won the Under 16 gold star and above title.
She also won the title a few years ago for rock and roll as an Under 12 pupil and has been in the top six for disco freestyle for the past few years.
To keep herself in shape for these gruelling titles, Melissa has dance lessons twice a week for three hours with Amanda Hughes, who runs the Welwyn-based dance school, DanceBeat. The school specialises in disco freestyle, rock and roll, street and Latin dancing.
Well done to Melissa!
