IB results announced
Haileybury’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme pupils have produced yet another strong set of results in their 2007 exams, with 37 out of 54 candidates above the international average of 32.
In addition, 17 out of 54 candidates were above the Oxbridge benchmark of 38 points. The maximum points score that an IB pupil can achieve is 45.
The Master, Stuart Westley, says that this year’s good set of results is a slight improvement on last year’s performance.
Alexandra Marsh was the School’s best performing candidate, with an overall score of 43. Four more candidates – Joseph Anthony, Harriet Atkinson, Anna Meynkohn and Bettina Otte – scored 42 points.
James Kazi, Haileybury’s IB Coordinator, was delighted with the pupils’ successes, convinced as he was that it was a testament to pupils’ and Common Room’s hard work and endeavours over the two-year course.
