Haileybury exhibits at Schools Show
Haileybury will be amongst the top independent schools to be exhibiting at the Independent Schools Show, to be held in Battersea on Friday, 2 November, and Saturday, 3 November.
Education has become even more of a burning issue with parents than at any time this millennium. Private education has been catapulted into the forefront of the news so many times recently and, in many quarters, it has been established as the only acceptable choice for many parents.
The launch of The Next Step: Independent Schools Show promises to provide enlightened parents with a crucial research tool to explore the multitude of options the independent system offers and will give schools an opportunity to shake the stuffy image of private education.
"Parents will find the Schools Show an invaluable aid in short-listing suitable schools for their children. It will give them an opportunity to meet and talk to staff and to gain a solid impression of what Haileybury is able to offer," says Stuart Westley, Master of Haileybury.
With over 70 of the country’s leading private schools exhibiting under one roof, The Next Step is the first step for parents contemplating private education for their offspring, from nurseries through to 6th Form tutorials. It is the first exhibition this millennium to address the problems parents face when choosing a school. Day or boarding? Mixed or single sex? International Baccalaureate or A Levels? IGCSE or GCSE? These are just a few of the concerns parents may need to address, alongside which particular strengths they wish their children to develop.
The show opens at Battersea Park at noon on Friday, closing at 9pm. On Saturday, parents can visit the show between 10am and 4.30pm. For more information, visit www.schoolsshow.co.uk
