Achievements to date
- The use of plastics has been removed from the catering facility and the School shop
- An awareness campaign has launched in the Boarding Houses in order to reduce the water use for showers and sinks
- A Wormery has been installed.
Actions planned
- All food waste is to remain on site and fed into anaerobic digester
- The reduction target for food waste is set at 50% by 2030
- A 20% reduction of meat and dairy consumption year to year
- The provision of water around School in screw top bottles/cans will be removed
- Instigate plans to reuse dishwasher water
- An extension of the wormery facility
- Coffee granules will be recycled into logs and used in the Forest School.
