Middles’ exhibition

The artists in Middles have been responding to the theme ‘natural forms’, this exhibition features a selection of their work in a range of media. Their first task was to explore different methods of mark-making, and consider how these methods can be used to create tone in natural forms. Pupils explored pencil and charcoal drawing, dry point and monoprinting, watercolour techniques and acrylic painting. Pupils have taken inspiration from artists such as Paul Cezanne, Henry Moore and Karl Blossfeldt in order to explore techniques and make connections to their developing art practice.
