David Jewell
The Haileybury community was saddened to learn of the death on Sunday 21 May of the previous Master, David Jewell. David’s family and his many close friends are in our thoughts and prayers.
David Jewell was Master of Haileybury from 1987 to 1996, having previously been Head of Bristol Cathedral School and Repton. He was a leading figure in the world of independent Education; the high point of his distinguished career was his election as Chairman of the Headmasters’ Conference in 1991.
