Chapel Chamber Choir does it again
Members of the Haileybury Chapel Chamber Choir have done it again! Following their phenomenal success in last year’s BBC Songs of Praise Choir of the Year competition where they came a close second nationally, we’ve just heard that the choir has again been picked as one of the last seven schools in the 2005 competition.
This is on the basis of a short recording we submitted before half term consisting of a hymn (Be thou my vision) and a religious piece (I will sing with the Spirit, by John Rutter).
The second round involves the competition’s musical adviser and a cameraman coming to film the choir in Chapel on Wednesday, 17 November.
If we make the cut and reach the final three school choirs like last year, we will be invited to the finals in the Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Saturday 26 February.
Well done to everyone involved!
