This exploratory writing experience invites pupils to experiment with ideas, play with language, and discover the power of their own voice.

Across the day, a carousel of workshops will see pupils experimenting with character, voice, plot, structure and style. Through activities and challenges, each school group will work together to ignite ideas and discover how the English language can be used to transform an initial spark into something powerful. Write boldly and let your imagination guide the way.

Event information

• The day run from 9.30 am – 4.00 pm on Thursday 24 September at Haileybury.
• Each school is invited to bring a group of up to six pupils for Year 5 and/or 6. A love of stories and the written word is recommended!
• Groups must be accompanied by at least one member of staff.
• Lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
