Haileybury’s UK and overseas trips inspire pupils to broaden their horizons, embrace new cultures, and embark on unforgettable adventures that enrich their education and personal growth.
Every year, around half of Haileybury pupils participate in UK trips and at least one overseas trip, reflecting the School’s commitment to offering a truly global perspective.
Our extensive programme includes sports tours to destinations such as South Africa, Spain, Portugal, and Barbados, as well as music tours to Malaysia, Australia, and Italy, where pupils develop teamwork, resilience, and cultural understanding through shared experiences.
Academic departments regularly organise trips that bring classroom learning to life, whether it’s exploring volcanic landscapes in Iceland for Geography, delving into history in Vietnam, or uncovering classical heritage in Florence and Rome.
Personal development and adventure are at the heart of our programme, with opportunities such as scuba diving expeditions in the Caribbean and the Maldives, challenging treks to Kilimanjaro or Everest Base Camp, and the annual World War I Battlefields trip for all Year 9 pupils.
Through these diverse experiences, Haileybury inspires pupils to step outside their comfort zones, develop independence, and gain a deeper appreciation of the world and their place in it.
