Haileybury welcomes all from the local community as well as parents, staff and friends of the school to attend a concert performed by The Sparrow Schools Choir from Johannesburg. 18 young people aged between 12 and 20 will perform African Zulu and Xhosa Songs with a selection from "Inzima Lendlela" composed by John Gowers from The Sparrow Schools Choir on Tuesday 18th June in the Chapel. The Choir are on tour in England until the end of June. They are performing at other independent schools in and around London, at Westminster Abbey on 24th June and The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden on 28th where they will be joined by special guest, Leo Sayer. Sparrow Schools is a non-profitmaking organisation providing affordable, quality and specialised education for children from disadvantaged communities in Johannesburg.
