School records broken at Herts League Athletics
The 2nd Herts League Athletics Match took place at Stevenage last Thursday, and the Haileybury athletes once again looked the strongest team at Under 16 level against some stiff competition, including St Columbas and Presdales.
Individually, two performances stood out: Christian Scales ran 53.7 for the 400m to not only beat the school record which has stood since 1985 but also to qualify for the National Championships later this year. A team made up of Abi Oghene, Chloe Allen, Annie Leighton and Georgia Billings also broke the school record in winning the 4 by 100m relay.
