Racing success at Brands Hatch for pupil James Pull
James Pull (Tr M) finished in both second and third place for his JTR team at Brands Hatch earlier this month in his first competitive race in the new MSA Formula Championships.
As James also picked up two podiums in the Rookie class standings, he in fact finished on the podium four times in total, leaving him in fourth place overall and second in the Rookie class by the end of the weekend.
James made the step up from karts at the beginning of the year. His karting successes included finishing championship runner-up in the Yamaha SL Cup Malaysia and the Asian Karting Open Championship in 2010 and victory in the Rotax Max Singapore series the following season. Since moving to Europe he has raced in cadets with Emilia Kart and then in KF3/KF-Junior with Chiesa Corse and then the Tony Kart Racing Team. In 2014 he was invited to join the McLaren Performance Academy, from which he graduated in December last year.
Everyone at Haileybury, but all in Trevelyan especially, wish him the best of luck for the rest of the racing season.
