Lower School wins Rugby Sevens
Lower School’s Sevens rugby team was once again triumphant at the Heath Mount Rugby Sevens tournament, winning for the second year running. On their way to victory last Sunday, the team beat Edge Grove, Aldwickbury, Beechwood Park and Heath Mount – conceding only one try in all the games. They beat Edge Grove 19-0 in the final.
Also enjoying success this season are the 1st XV, captained by William Grundy, who have recorded victories against Beechwood Park, Lockers Park, Aldwickbury, Sevenoaks, Lambrook Haileybury and Berkhampsted Collegiate.
On Saturday, 15 March, a 17 – 14 victory against Berkhampsted was particularly pleasing as it was a very tough game against a bigger side, according to coach Peter Johns.
On Wednesday, 19 March, the team had yet another success in a tough match against Lochinver House, winning 34-27.
Well done to the Lower School team!
