Haileybury A lacrosse team win
The first full lacrosse matches of the semester yielded up some exciting moments for our teams this weekend when they came up against Kings Canterbury. The Haileybury A squad did especially well, winning a tight game. At the end of regulation time, the score was tied at 7-7 and overtime saw a quick response with the decisive Haileybury goal. A lightning quick save by goalie Sam Small in the last six seconds of the game sealed the win.
The Junior Varsity fought hard against King’s but conceded a 0-7 loss. Rookie goalie Alice Handscomb played an amazing game, providing saves throughout the tough match. Varsity B faired better, with the final score 2-8. Many of the B team’s starting players returned for a second season, giving the entire team a great boost.
Well done to all the teams!
