Footballers into fourth round of Boodles Cup

Haileybury’s footballers pulled off a magnificent victory against Brentwood in the third round of the ISFA Boodles Cup, inflicting Brentwood’s first defeat of the season. Haileybury scored first but Brentwood were level by the break. However, Haileybury scored twice in the second half and, though Brentwood pulled a goal back with 5 minutes to go and piled on the pressure in the final moments, Haileybury held out for a deserved 3-2 victory. Alex Smith scored twice for Haileybury and Rhys Carter had a fine game in goal.

Haileybury now faces Westminster in the fourth round on 11 December.

Congratulations also to Abdul Wushishi, who represented the ISFA South U18 team, which enjoyed an excellent 3-1 win over Essex on 18 November. He has also been selected to play for the ISFA South U18 team against ISFA North on Sunday 2 December.
