German Café

We are bringing Germany to the Haileybury Grubber this January with the return of our popular German Café, where Removes Pupils and Parents are warmly invited to join us for some complimentary German food and drinks. Pupils will be working in the Café as waiters, taking and serving orders entirely in German.
Do not worry if you do not speak the language – on every table, there will be language help so that you too can place your order in German.

The purpose of this event is to provide the pupils with the opportunity to speak German in a practical setting. Removes pupils have recently been learning food and drink vocabulary and restaurant dialogue, so this will help them practice and consolidate their new knowledge.
