Antonio wins double gold
Antonio Infantino won double gold at the Hertfordshire County Indoor competition held last weekend at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
In the morning Antonio competed in the 200m Under 17 Men’s competition and won in time of 22.50s. His performance was truly amazing as his time was faster than the Under 20 Men and Senior Men’s competitions. This makes him the fastest man in Hertfordshire!
It was also exceptional in that it was Antonio’s first 200m race ever indoors.
In the afternoon he competed in the 60m Under 17 Men’s competition and added another gold medal to his collection by winning in a time of 7.04s. Again, this time proved to be faster than both the Under 20 Men and Senior Men’s 60m competitions.
Fellow Trevelyan pupil, Joshua Maraney (Removes), also won gold – this time in the 400m Under 15 Boys’ Competition in a time of 59.50s. Congratulations to them both!
