Design Principles

SciTech is a manifestation of the educational values of Haileybury. The buildings offer an innovative, creative space which will benefit the learning experience for our pupils.  

The buildings have been designed to offer collaborative space in which pupils will be given the opportunity to engage in dialogic learning, supporting each other to think, hypothesise and evaluate. It is also an interdisciplinary space, with subject areas related and constructed together. 

Haileybury is also ensuring SciTech will be outward-facing and a space, in which partnerships are nurtured, and connections between organisations beyond Haileybury are fostered. Importantly, this is a space in which young people can think and learn as scientists and researchers, rather than simply learn about science and technology.
