The Post:
Haileybury is looking to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified individual as the School Staff Instructor (SSI) to support the Contingent Commander with our established Combined Cadet Force (CCF).
The primary objectives of this role are to ensure the efficient and effective running of the CCF Contingent, to advise and support the Contingent Commander and other Contingent Staff and to inspire Cadets and Staff to maintain or exceed the standards that are in keeping with the best traditions of Haileybury CCF. The SSI is also responsible for the management and running of the Climbing Wall.
The post of School Staff Instructor (SSI) is a full time position and involves working hours of 37.5 hours per week. Core working times will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break each day. In addition to these core working hours, the job holder will be required to work reasonable additional hours as are necessary for the proper performance of the role and as the demands of the job require. This may include; early mornings, evenings and at weekends as reasonably requested, in order to carry out their CCF duties; the nature of a 24hr a day, 7 days per week boarding school requires staff to work flexibly.
We are looking for:
A highly experienced ex-regular service personnel; a self-motivated SSI who will make leading and effective contributions to the development of the CCF. An individual who is passionate about providing outstanding opportunities for cadets to develop as people, an experienced instructor, with the ability to think creatively to generate growth and engagement in the CCF for both Cadets and Officers.
