U13 Girls Reach Sports Finals Twice in One Week

Lower School sport is going from strength to strength, with our girls' U13 hockey and netball teams both reaching the finals in tournaments this week. The U13 hockey team travelled to Queenswood on Tuesday (26 February) for the County Schools Hockey tournament. Despite fierce opposition from schools including Royal Masonic, Parmiters and Dame Alice Owen they battled their way to the final, every player displaying a determination which produced goals from Zoe Cole, Siena Milner, Chloe Landymore and Sophie Maytum, thanks to the support  > more

Haileybury Prep & Primary Schools' Festival of Arts, 3-15 June 2013 We are delighted to announce that former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion will be attending the Festival of Arts Exhibition on Thursday 13 June and will be leading two sessions with selected pupils. Superb Wi-Fi access at Haileybury

Haileybury recognises the importance of an excellent Wi-Fi service to support teaching and learning and a new campus-wide installation programme began at the end of 2012. Partnering with LAN3 Ltd, a network solutions company with significant experience within schools, an AeroHive Networks Wi-Fi system was selected. AeroHive provides fast wireless connectivity and is able to cope with the rapidly growing numbers of devices pupils and staff use on a day-to-day basis. CABARET - Thursday 28 February 2013, 7pm, Big School This year's Cabaret evening is once again kindly hosted by the Haileybury Parents' Association (HPA) and in support of our three school charities: Isabel Hospice, The Bobath Centre and Haileybury Youth Trust. String Heats of Instrumental Competition

Last night saw the final heat of the Instrumental Competition with some excellent and eclectic performances from many of our string players. In the Junior section William Reade (violin) and Joshua Rawlin (guitar) were Highly Commended for their performances. Charlotte Reade (cello), Sam Tyler (acoustic guitar) and Anna Shvalyuk (harp) are all through to the final next Thursday. Piano and Percussion take centre stage

The Instrumental Competition continued yesterday evening with piano and percussion performances from more of our talented musicians. In the Junior section, Francesca Wood, Larry Balogun and William Lytle were highly commended for their performances. Through to the final are Piers Gilfillan, Charlotte Reade and Tessa Rosendahl. In the Senior section Ann-Katrin Schlichtherle, Ram Raman and Nadine Al-Sam were highly commended and Georgina Robertson, Natalie Tyrwhitt-Drake and Ling Hong Tan are through to next week's final.  > more

What an extraordinary evening of fantastic performances from all the performers in the vocal heat of the Instrumental Competition! Well done to all the performers. Haileyburian Junior and Senior musicians have launched this year's Instrumental Competition in style, with the Woodwind and Brass heat taking place last night (4 February). Haileybury Youth Trust launches Auction of Opportunity

Haileybury Youth Trust (HYT) has launched its second Auction of Opportunity, live online. Parents and families are encouraged to bid for 35 work experience placements for their children and young people, aged 16-24. The work experience placements have been generously provided by a wide range of companies and institutions and include opportunities in media and law, advertising, medicine and engineering.
