CAVALERI QUARTET - Workshop and Final Concert Bradby Hall, workshop 4.45pm; Concert 8.30pm This young quartet has become internationally recognised in no time at all – because they are brilliant. A team of Haileybury Chefs displayed their talent and commitment to good food earlier this month at The Hospitality Show at the NEC in Bimringham, and were rewarded with a clutch of prizes. The event is the UK's largest foodservice and hospitality show. All the challenges were live cooking events and participants were judged on their work and skills, as well as the end results. Congratulations to Haileyburian Patrick Cathcart (Vth, B) who has been invited to join the Hertfordshire Men's County Tennis team, quite an achievement at his age. Over the past eight years the Herts County team have won the national Group 1 Summer County Cup five times and have won the national Group 1 Winter Cup six years running. This year seven Haileybury pupils have achieved offers from Oxford or Cambridge. In an ever-more competitive application process, all our applicants worked very hard in preparation and these seven have done wonderfully well to get their offers, given the especially competitive nature of their chosen courses. Haileybury Art Society is delighted to be welcoming artist Matthew Stradling to the Art School this week. Stradling is represented in many art collections in Europe, America, the Far and Middle East, and is one of the most accomplished painters of the male nude in Britain today. Born in Hertfordshire, Matthew now works from his studio in North London. His work has been exhibited internationally and he has had 12 solo exhibitions in London and Paris. In 2001 he was selected by Sothebys to represent Britain in the 2001-2 Young Artist International

Haileybury is delighted to be welcoming the world's top professional rackets players to compete in the World Rackets Singles 2013 this coming weekend, including our own Rackets Professional Mike Cawdron. Our newly renovated rackets court is the perfect venue for the tournament and Haileybury now has a greater number of girls playing the sport than at any other school in the country.
