Haileybury: A 150 Anniversary Portrait

The School and the Haileybury Society are very pleased to announce that we are working with publishers Third Millennium on a major illustrated hardback book to accompany the 150th Anniversary celebrations in 2012. Tracing Haileybury's journey from foundation to present day, and using visual and documentary material from the School archives, along with specially commissioned photography, this will be a beautifully designed and produced volume for every Haileyburian to treasure. OH Sam Billings selected for Kent County Cricket

Congratulations to OH Sam Billings (BFr 2004-2009), who has been given a two-year professional cricket contract with Kent County Cricket Club. Sam is currently in his second year at Loughborugh University, studying Sport and Exercise Science with Management. Sam is a wicketkeeper who has been involved with the England Under 19 team and he is challenging hard to become the club's deputy gloveman, according to their website.  > more

Sailors win Bronze at Bray Lake

Haileybury's sailing team had a successful weekend during the BSDRA Midlands regatta at Bray Lake. There were 14 schools in attendance and Haileybury managed to win their "fleet" of four, beating Wellington, Millfield and Pangbourne. This took us into the semi-final where we came up against Magdalene College School, who narrowly beat us. MCS then beat the Eton second team (we beat their 1st team in March!) in the final. Haileybury took home the BSRDA Thames Valley Regatta Bronze Trophy (for winning the "fleet").  > more
