Haileybury wins national safety award

Haileybury has won The British Safety Award for Health and Safety for the third consecutive year. The award, which is issued by the British Safety Council, recognises the success that Haileybury and its employees have achieved in their pursuit of excellence in the management of health, safety and environmental matters at an international level. Alex raises £900 for Marie Curie

Haileybury's Alex Devine (Th) has taken part in the Swimathon , the largest swimming fund-raising event in the world, raising over £900 for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The event was held in 500 swimming pools around the country. Alex swam five km (200 lengths) in the Haileybury pool during his fundraising drive. Well done, Alex!  > more

Haileybury’s B netball team wins Lea Valley tournament

Haileybury last night entered a team in both the A & B team tournaments of the Year 7 Lea Valley netball tournament, which had been postponed (due to bad weather) from the last week of the Spring term. The B tournament was organised as a round robin competition, with seven local schools taking part. Despite having two key players with broken bones, and therefore unable to take part, Haileybury made a really positive start, winning their first two games against Goffs B 3-1 and Simon Balle B 3-1. Jamie selected for Rugby World Cup squad

Haileybury Sixth Former Jamie George (BFr) has been selected for the England squad for the Under 20 Rugby World Cup in Japan in June. The team has a training camp at Loughborough for a week in May, before leaving for Japan at the end of May through to 22 June. They have three matches in their pool - against Japan, Samoa and Scotland - and the winner of the pool will go through to the semi finals  > more

Review Of Term Dates And Field Weekend Arrangements

Following a review of the experimental change in Field Weekend arrangements (whereby the October Field W/E was run from the last weekend of the first half of term until the Tuesday lunchtime, and the March Field W/E was run from the last weekend of term until the Monday evening), we have decided to make some changes to the equivalent arrangements in October 2009 and March 2010. The same arrangement will run in October but until the Monday evening (19 Oct 09) and not the Tuesday (20 Oct 09) lunchtime. The formal start of the half-term break  > more

James named captain of U12 Herts hockey squad

Lower School 1 pupil James Brooking has been named captain of the Hertfordshire Under 12 hockey team. Congratulations also go to several other Lower School 1 boys who have all been selected to play for Hertfordshire in the East Region Hockey Association Inter County Tournament at Watford Grammar Schhol AWS on Sunday, 19 April. Mayowa achieves a Haileybury first

Congratulations to four Lower School boys - Callum Scutt, Christian Scales (LS1) and Thomas Grint and Mayowa Balogun (LS2) - who represented the Herts & Essex regional football team at Repton School in the regional festival.
