Four boys selected for ISFA team

Congratulations to Thomas Grint, Mayowa Balogun, Christian Scales and Callum Scutt, who have been selected to represent the Under 13 Herts and Essex ISFA Football team in the national tournament to take place between 29 and 31 March 2009. Christian and Callum are a year young for the team, making their achievement even more impressive. It is from this tournament the national squad will be selected.  > more

Pupils compete in Bank of England competition

Good luck to Oli Winters, Vanessa Butz, Henry Englander, Phil Balsquez and Dylan Watts who are taking part in the Bank of England's ninth annual Target Two Point Zero competition to evaluate the likely performance of the UK economy and to set interest rates accordingly next Wednesday, 26 November. The competition will entail the intelligent and astute collection and interpretation of economic data and application to relevant economic theory. Sporting honours for Sam and Jamie

Sam Billings has been included in the England Under 18 cricket squad to tour India next February. This follows his selection for an elite player development squad in which he was enrolled in a two-week pressure training camp based in Shrewsbury. The camp was run by a former Major of the Counter Terrorist Branch of the SAS. Meanwhile, rugby star Jamie George has been invited to play for the Steele-Bodgers XV against Cambridge University next Wednesday, 26 November at Grange Road in Cambridge.
