Tom through to Rackets final

Congratulations to Middles pupil, Tom Billings (BFr), who has got through to the final of the Under 15 Rackets Competition (Jim Dear Cup) at Queens Club. He will be playing the final tomorrow (Friday) at 11am. He is the first Haileyburian to reach a final at Queens since 1994. More good news on the Rackets court is that Sam Billings (BFr) got through to the quarter final of the Foster Cup (for the top 16 players in the country) but unfortunately lost 3-1 to the number two seed. Haileybury into semi finals of Boodles Cup

Haileybury's 1st X1 footballers beat Westminster in the quarter final of the Boodles Cup Competition on Tuesday, reaching the semi final for the first time in the history of the competition. Haileybury beat Westminster 5-4 on penalties after the match had finished 0-0 after extra-time. It was a hard fought victory in a game of few chances with defences on top. Haileybury pupil chosen for ISFA squad

Upper Sixth pupil, Abdul Wushishi (K), has become the first Haileyburian to be selected for the England Under 18 Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) squad. He was selected from over 100 boys who attended the country-wide trials in November. Eighteen-year-old Abdul, who is a striker, has been playing football all his life, developing a love for the game when he started playing with his brothers in his home country of Nigeria. Rob in Under 19 Scotland rugby team

Congratulations to Rob Macpherson-Smith (Tr), who has been selected for the Scotland Under 19 rugby squad. Rob has been playing for the London Scottish Academy since last year, and will now attend several training camps at Murrayfield over the next few months, while trying out for selection for a match for the Scottish Exiles in Newcastle against the home-based Scotland players, as well as an international against Italy in Milan in the Spring.
