PE teacher named among the best in the country

One of Haileybury's PE teachers, Annie Thomas, has been named in the top three PE teachers in the country. The award, for PE Teacher of the Year, was one of the categories in the Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year awards. Annie attended the awards ceremony at Lord's cricket ground on Tuesday, 20 November, and was "humbled and honoured" to be recognised in this manner for her day-to-day work. Footballers into fourth round of Boodles Cup

Haileybury's footballers pulled off a magnificent victory against Brentwood in the third round of the ISFA Boodles Cup, inflicting Brentwood's first defeat of the season. Haileybury scored first but Brentwood were level by the break. However, Haileybury scored twice in the second half and, though Brentwood pulled a goal back with 5 minutes to go and piled on the pressure in the final moments, Haileybury held out for a deserved 3-2 victory. HPA inaugural Ball

The Haileybury Parents' Association (HPA) is hugely excited to be inaugurating a regular Ball in our diary of Social Events, and what more perfect time than to have a May Ball? Josie wins French prize

Congratulations to Haileybury pupil, Josie Chubb, whose translation of Pierre Reverdy's "Son de Cloche" has won Matthew Spender's prize from the Stephen Spender Memorial Trust for the best translation of someone aged 14 and under. Josie will collect her prize at a special function in London tonight.  > more

Haileybury exhibits at Schools Show
