Schools' hat trick for Antonio

Haileybury's star athlete, Antonio Infantino, has once again won gold after competing at the UK School Games at Warwick University last weekend. Antonio was representing the East of England as well as Haileybury at the event. His most recent success means that he has completed a hat trick of the Schools' titles - golds in the English Schools, International Schools and UK School Games meetings. 7 GCSE pupils achieve 10 or more A* grades

Haileybury is delighted that the 2007 GCSE candidates have produced the school's best ever results, following the A Level and IB Diploma pupils having done equally well one week earlier. The entire community is delighted by this outcome, which reflects great commitment on the part of both pupils and their teachers. 61.1% of entries were awarded one of the top two grades A* or A. Pupils achieve record A level results

Haileybury's 2007 A Level and International Baccalaureate candidates achieved record results once again. Combining the results of both sets of candidates, over three quarters, 78.8%, of grades were at A or B, which compares with the previous best figure, 78.2%, achieved in 2006. The AS results also showed a remarkable improvement which bodes particularly well for the future. 65% of AS grades were at A or B, which compares strikingly with 52% in each of the three years 2004 - 2006. Antonio sets new personal bests

Haileybury athlete Antonio Infantino competed in the England Athletics Under 15 and Under 17 Championships at the Don Valley Stadium last weekend, running a lifetime best in the 100m on Saturday to win silver in 10.60 s. He won his heat comfortably and then ran yet another personal best in the semi-final in 10.55s.
