Wishing the Chamber Choir luck

We wish the Chamber Choir the best of luck in their quest to be chosen as the best senior school choir in the UK this weekend. The 27 singers are drawn from the ranks of our Chapel Choir, and were selected as one of three secondary school finalists in "Celebrate!", the Songs of Praise annual school choirs contest. They will compete for the title of 'BBC Songs of Praise Senior School Choir of the Year' against St Aidan's Church of England High School, Harrogate and Methodist College, Belfast. Lacrosse All Stars

The 2003-2004 lacrosse programme started its double season with quite a few achievements to live up to from last year's 1st XII. Last year's efforts produced 8 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw overall and a total of 71 goals. Additionally, their undefeated Easter season was proof of the balanced cohesion of individual skills and team performance. Yet, even with these hard-won successes, Haileybury drew for second at the East Qualifier for Nationals. Mid-week match helps lacrosse teams sharpen up

The lacrosse teams made the short trip out to St. Alban's on Tuesday afternoon. This was the only weekday fixture of the season for the girls and it turned out to be extremely well-timed as we'd gone without a comparable practice for a full week due to the snow. Tuesday's winds made for some unpredictable changes in the ball directions, and the somewhat saturated ground contributed to the erratic turn of play.
