Haileybury's David Rice has had a successful run as part of the tennis team representing Great Britain in the recent European Cup. The Boys U14 team qualified in France before moving on to the final rounds in Spain, where they were beaten by Croatia at the semi final stage. They came 4th out of 32 teams entered. By getting that far, the team has qualified for the World Team Cup to be held in the Czech Republic in August, where they will meet players from the rest of the world.

The possible maximum IB points score is 45. To score above 40 puts one in distinguished company and this has been achieved by five of our thirty IB pupils. Beth Bowen, daughter of Roger Bowen, the vicar of Hertford Heath, will now read Law at Magdalen College, Cambridge. Beth gained 43 points, as did Jo Rogers, from Cornwall, who is going up to Oxford to read Oriental Studies. Emma Greer of Watton-at-Stone, scored 41, in company with Falco Pichler and Nicola Bowen.
