Edward Holroyd (Ha 59)
It is with much sadness that the Haileybury community learned of the death on 8 May of Edward Holroyd (Ha 59), who was a Life Governor, Chairman of the Haileybury Guild and the Haileybury Youth Trust, former Chairman of the Development Board and benefactor.
It was thanks to Edward’s generosity that Big School was refurbished in 2006. He was also the driving force behind the refocused Haileybury Youth Trust, as well as an active member of the Old Haileyburian Golf Society.
A Service of Thanksgiving will be held on Monday, 18 May (family cremation beforehand), at 12.30pm at St Peter’s Church, Osmotherley, Northallerton, then afterwards at their home The Woodlands, Thimbleby, DL6 3PY.
