During the half-term, our Fifths geographers went on a fantastic five-day tour of this incredible country.
The pupils explored the spectacular Thingvellir National Park, the extraordinary Gullfoss, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, and visited the basalt stacks of the world-famous black-sand Reynisfjara beach.
They also took a trip to Gamla Laugin, also known as the Secret Lagoon, a stunning man-made thermal pool fed by naturally occurring hot springs, located in a geothermal area renowned for its volcanic activity.
The group ended the week with a wonderful tour of Reykjavik and with an exploration of the plate boundary between Europe and North America at the Bridge Between Continents in Sandvík.
