The Most Refulgent Order of the Star of Nepal Nepal Tara     Ribbon: Red fading through white into yellow and then orange.

Instituted: 29 November 1918 by King Tribhubhan Bir Bikram Shah Dev. Awarded: For outstanding merit both civilian and military.

Grades: 5 plus a Medal.

Assam-Burma Medal (Assam-Burma-Ladain-Padaka) (1945) Awarded for service in the Assam-Burma Theatre during WWII. Established: 1945 by King Tribhuban Bir Bikram Shah Dev. Ribbon: Red with three equally spaced pale green stripes.

He received the unusual distinction of being decorated by the King of Nepal  with the Order of the Star of Nepal and the Nepalese Burma Medal in 1945.
