Lebanon: The National Order of the Cedar

The insignia is comprised of a five pointed, white enamel cross with cedar trees interposed between each arm. The central inscription in Arabic reads, HONOUR AND DEVOTION. The central design on the reverse of the Knight's badge (shown below) is the Lebanese national flag

Instituted: 31 December 1936.

Awarded: For services to Lebanon, acts of courage and public service.

Grades: 5 (Grand Cordon, Grand Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight).
