Head of Capital Projects
Closing Date: 22 February 2021
Haileybury is an outstanding British independent co-educational boarding school, offering modern boarding and day provision for nine hundred boys and girls aged 11-18. Established in 1862, we are situated on a glorious, historic 500-acre campus in Hertfordshire, just 20 miles north of London and 35 miles south of Cambridge, with an extensive portfolio of properties, including buildings with listed buildings status and approximately 120 residential properties.
Haileybury has completed a process of establishing a 15-20 year site development masterplan and is looking for a Head of Capital Projects to be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of capital projects.
The successful candidate will have relevant project management experience in construction. A background in the Education sector is helpful but candidates from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.
The post holder will be required to work 37.5 hours per weeks. The nature of a 24hr a day, 7 days per week boarding school requires staff to work flexibly and there may be a requirement for the jobholder to work reasonable additional hours and early mornings, evenings and weekends.
For an informal discussion, please contact Stuart Hay (Estates Bursar) on 01992 7062 58.
To apply for the above position, please complete the enclosed Application Form, with reference to the Job Description and stating your salary expectations, and return it to HR@haileybury.com.
Applicants should be aware that we cannot consider an application unless the standard application form has been filled in completely. Please be aware that your application form should include your full employment history and any previous employer may be approached by the School. Incomplete application forms may be returned.
Haileybury is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants for the above post must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers, prohibition checks and a criminal record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service. Any employment offer will be subject to the successful completion of these background screening checks. Our policy statement on the recruitment of ex-offenders is enclosed.
