Estates Assistant Project Manager
Estates Assistant Project Manager
Permanent; Full Time (37.5 hours)
Closing Date: 27 August 2021
Start Date: ASAP
Haileybury is an outstanding British independent co-educational boarding school, offering modern boarding and day provision for 875 boys and girls aged 11-18. Established in 1862, we are situated on a glorious and historic 500-acre campus in Hertfordshire, just 20 miles north of London.
The role of the Estates Assistant Project Manager is to assist in the delivery of small to medium sized capital projects across the Haileybury Estate (including residential properties) and aiding in the coordination of the Capital Programme. Working directly for the Head of Capital Projects and working in close cooperation with other members of the Estates Teams.
The post-holder will assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, building, engineering and grounds designs, cost estimates for construction works and the preparation of specifications, drawings and tender documentation for improvement works ensuring that they meet the cost and time targets agreed, whilst delivering to the organisations aspirations.
Consolidation of information and drawings – both existing and arising – into a sound information management system, aiding in the development of processes around data management and coordination.
The jobholder may be required to respond to estate related emergencies outside of normal working hours, attending onsite as and when required. The nature of a 24hr a day, 7 days per week boarding school requires staff to work flexibly. There may therefore be a requirement for the job holder to work early mornings, evenings and weekends, as required by the role.
