Haileybury Admissions

Applying to Haileybury

Haileybury is an academically selective school, with entry at 11+ (Year 7), 13+ (Year 9) and 16+ (Year 12). We also take pupils into Year 8 and Year 10 where space allows. The general entrance procedure involves four main stages.

The entrance procedure

Stage 1 - The Visit

Families are warmly invited to visit the College. You can attend one of our Open Days or make an individual appointment during Term time.

Stage 2 - Registration

To register your child you will need to complete a Registration Form and pay a non-refundable Registration Fee of £100.

On receipt of the completed form and payment, we will place your child's name on our entry list which will ensure that they will be considered as a candidate to Haileybury.

Stage 3 - Entrance Assessment

As an academically selective school, all registered candidates will be invited to sit our entrance tests and have an interview at Haileybury.

As part of the procedure, we will request a copy of your child's latest school report and a reference from your child's current school.

Stage 4 - The Offer

Successful candidates will be offered a place and asked to secure the place with an Acceptance Deposit.
