Haileybury, A Top UK International Baccalaureate School
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2008 and has been offered to Sixth Form pupils at Haileybury since 1999. During these 11 years, our programme has developed from having 13 pupils to now almost 100 across the two Sixth Form years and the course has become a respected and successful feature of Haileybury's curriculum, and we are now one of the leading IB schools in the UK.
May 2010 examinations saw a high level of achievement from Haileybury pupils, with an average points score of 37.3 (out of 45), giving us one of the best average scores amongst UK IB boarding schools.
Recognised all over the world, the IB is a direct route into British and international universities, and offers excellent preparation for tertiary education.
At the heart of the Diploma is the IB organisation's mission statement, which outlines not just the academic aims of the programme but also its focus on developing the individual through his/her important Sixth Form years.
