Pupils should choose their courses, where possible, within the column structure as outlined below. This structure is not guaranteed but it is in most instances the structure used this year. If the desired combination is unavailable, pupils new to the School should complete the relevant section of the options form. Pupils already at the School should inform their Housemistress or Housemaster. Consultation with the Director of Studies or the Assistant Director of Studies is also advisable in such cases. While we try to accommodate choices which do not comply with this structure, it is sometimes impossible to do so. We try to advise pupils of that fact as soon as possible.

It is the responsibility of overseas pupils who wish to study outside the UK after leaving Haileybury to check that their subject choices and proposed qualifications will be acceptable to their future chosen university.
When we receive pupils' option choices we try to construct the timetable around them. This is not always viable and so some requests are impossible to fulful. Quite soon after the date for return of option choices, we will finalise the option columns. Requests for subject combinations thereafter will have to comply with the fixed option columns.
