Lower School Extra-Curricular Activities

Lower School pupils are actively encouraged to make the most of a rich and varied activities programme. In addition to the all-important academic dimension, great emphasis is placed on the all-rounder, with the opportunity to participate in sport, music, the creative arts and much more.

In addition to the sport, drama and music events that keep our pupils busy, there is a variety of fun options available - anything from archery and abseiling to basket weaving, cooking, first aid, jewellery making, to quizzes and trampolining.

Lower School boarders can look forward to activities such as swimming pool games or multi-activities like shooting, tug-of-war, pottery, art, design, problem solving, dance and etiquette.

Lower School extra-curricular activities take place at lunchtime and at the end of the School day (4.30 - 5.20pm). Alternatively, once lessons have concluded, pupils have the option to stay at School and complete their prep under the supervision of members of the tutorial team.

Wednesday afternoons are devoted to games and there is an expectation that all Lower School pupils are available on a Saturday to participate in fixtures or attend training sessions. In short, the Lower School week is busy and demanding, with all pupils encouraged to make a full and whole-hearted contribution to the wider life of the School.

"There is always so much to do here in the hours after lessons have finished."
