Cleaner/Labourer

40 hours per week

An individual is required to work within the Domestics Department in this progressive independent boarding school. The successful candidate will be flexible, reliable and punctual. The primary responsibilities are to ensure that allocated areas both inside and outside the College buildings are cleaned to a high standard and to transport furniture, materials and equipment within the College site or to/from any College related building.

Transport Department Co-ordinator

20 Hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term-Time only, plus 6 additional weeks)

An individual is required to work within the Transport Department in this progressive independent boarding school.

The job holder will be responsible for the smooth, efficient and effective operation of the School's Transport Department, ensuring that all duties within the department are carried out in line with normal operating procedures. In addition, they will be responsible for the day to day supervision, organisation and co-ordination of departmental staff and, as and when requested by the Bursar, to develop existing departmental practices and procedures in order to ensure the long term efficiency and effectiveness of the Transport Department.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of working within an ever developing department and supervising staff. They will have excellent administrative, organisational, supervisory, numeracy and ICT skills (including use of the Microsoft Office suite) and be able to communicate effectively, diplomatically and sensitively with people at all levels, including parents and pupils.
