Each year Haileyburians gain places at leading universities to read Mathematics, Engineering and other associated degrees. Further Mathematics and Higher Level pupils successfully gain entry to Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College and other top institutes.
All pupils study Mathematics to iGCSE (Edexcel) and those in the Middle School are graded on ability and placed into sets. The top set sit their iGCSE examination a year early and then study Additional Mathematics for examination in the Fifth form.
At Sixth Form level, Maths and Further Maths are offered at AS and A2 Level and are very popular. Modules are typically selected in Pure Maths, Mechanics, Statistics and Decision Maths (Edexcel).
IB Mathematics courses include Maths at Higher Level, Standard Level and Maths Studies.
We enter the annual UK Mathematics Trust individual and team challenges for Schools at Junior, Intermediate and Senior levels.
"I have always found Maths to be one of my most challenging subjects but since I've been taught by Haileybury teachers, it has become a completely different story."
