We would all like to wish you a very warm welcome to the Haileybury community in this landmark year of our 150th anniversary. Whether you are visiting for the first time or are already familiar with Haileybury, we are sure that you will find this dynamic and animated school the perfect learning environment.
Over the combined seventeen years that the four of us have been here, we have gained a great deal from our time at Haileybury, each in broad and diverse aspects of school life. From sport and music, from Model United Nations to climbing Mount Meru in Tanzania, we have a lot of experience between us and we hope this would encourage you to speak to us in person if you have questions regarding even the most obscure corners of Haileybury life.
Haileybury is a school based around strong relationships; the academic relationships between pupils and teachers is one of mutual respect that allows for the best possible learning environment. The pastoral relationship between a pupil and their Housemaster or Housemistress is always a source of support and comfort to all. Finally, and most importantly, are the relationships formed between a pupil and their peers. The friendships formed at Haileybury cross year-group divides and stretch far beyond one's time at Haileybury. This in particular is very close to our hearts as we prepare to leave at the end of this academic year, and the significance of these bonds becomes more apparent to us as our time draws to a close.
The Haileybury learning experience goes far deeper than just a set of exam results. The approach to learning, coupled with the co-curricular opportunities, means that each person that passes through Haileybury leaves as a well-rounded individual with a strong set of values to guide them through the challenges of university life and beyond.
We hope that this website will encourage you to learn more about this fantastic school, and that you will take the opportunity to experience the vibrancy of Haileybury for yourself very soon. We all would be very happy to show you around should you choose to visit.
